Sunkist Orange Cocktail
A Sunkist Orange Cocktail! Taking a popular soda, the Sunkist Orange Soda, and creating a cocktail that tastes like your drinking it straight from the can – well, with a little alcohol included. 🙂
I remember a time growing up in Louisiana where I would go to the corner store to grab a soda and chips for only a few cents. Those were the days, right? And one of my all-time favorite drinks was the Sunkist Orange soda.
Now that I’m all grown up and thoroughly enjoy cocktails, I thought that it would be an awesome idea to come up with a cocktail recipe that intertwined the two — so today I’m sharing my latest cocktail creation called the Sunkist Orange Cocktail! And it’s a pretty simple cocktail to put together.
How to make the Sunkist Orange Cocktail:
Begin by creating the tangerine infused simple syrup. There are a lot of opinions on what type of sugar to use when making simple syrup, but I personally always go with turbinado sugar (paid link).
The measurements are one part turbinado sugar (paid link) and two parts water. Remove the skin from the tangerines and place the slices inside of the simple syrup. Allow to sit for at least 30 minutes before using to make sure it’s fully infused.
Add all of your ingredients, except for the ginger ale, inside a cocktail shaker with a cup of ice and shake for a few seconds before pouring into a serving glass. Top off your cocktail with ginger ale and use a slice of tangerine for garnish.
This cocktail is very refreshing and it can be enjoyed at any time. If you love Sunkist Orange Soda give this Sunkist Orange Cocktail a try and you will really enjoy it.
