  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. For the Chicken, cut them into 3 pieces each.
  2. In one large ziplock bag, add 1 cup flour in one bag. Add 1/2 cup flour, pancake mix (paid link), paprika, salt, and black pepper to a second bag.
  3. In a bowl, combine buttermilk and eggs. Whisk (paid link) together.
  4. Heat a skillet to medium heat and cover the bottom of the pan with olive oil.
  5. Place the chicken in a flour-only bag and coat it well. Place chicken into the egg mixture, then the flour and pancake mixture. Cook chicken for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, then set to side.
  6. For the honey sauce, heat a cooking pan to medium-low and add butter. Once the butter melts, add minced garlic. Cook for 1 minute, then add soy sauce, brown sugar, and honey. Add cornstarch, balsamic vinegar, red pepper flakes, and flour. Stir until it binds and remove from the heat.
  7. Add chicken to a large bowl and pour honey sauce over the cooked chicken. Set to the side.
  8. For the waffles, in a bowl, add pancake mix (paid link), egg yolks, vanilla extract, nutmeg, ground cinnamon, buttermilk, and milk. Whisk (paid link) together. Do not over-blend.
  9. Set the mixer to medium speed and beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Fold the egg whites into the pancake mixture.
  10. Prepare the waffles as instructed by your Belgium waffle maker. Once cooked, place the chicken between two waffle triangles.
