Description

Starting with ground beef, this Simple Beef Chili is made using fire-roasted tomatoes, seasonings, and is balanced with a hint of sweetness.


Ingredients

  • 2 lb. Lean Ground Beef
  • 32 oz. Kidney Beans
  • 14.5 oz. Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 cup Chopped Yellow Onion
  • 2 tbsp. Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp. Butter
  • 3 tsp. Minced Garlic
  • 2 tbsp. Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp. Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp. Himalayan Salt
  • 1 tsp. Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. Ground Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. Crushed Red Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. Ground Cayenne Red Pepper


Instructions

  1. Chop onions into diced pieces and set to the side.
  2. Add butter and garlic to a pre-heated pot. Add chopped onions and cook until they become translucent.
  3. Add ground beef to the pot, break into smaller pieces, and cook until browned. Drain excess grease.
  4. Add all remaining ingredients, reduce heat to medium-low, and cook covered for 25 minutes.
