Frozen Blood Orange Margarita

Made with sweet-tart blood oranges, this tasty Frozen Blood Orange Margarita is refreshing and full of citrus flavor!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed blood oranges (5-6 blood oranges)
  • 1/4 freshly squeezed lime juices (2 limes)
  • 1 cup tequila blanco
  • 3/4 cup Cointreau
  • 1/4 cup agave
  • 5-7 cups of ice (depending on preferred consistency)
  • blood orange slices for rim garnish
  • tajin (paid link) for rim garnish

Instructions

  1. Rim margarita glasses with tajin (paid link). See notes below.
  2. Juice the blood oranges and limes and add to the blender (paid link). Add the tequila, Cointreau, agave, and ice to the blender (paid link). Blend into a smooth slush and pour into glasses.
  3. Pour the frozen cocktail into margarita glasses and garnish with a thin slice of blood orange.

To rim your glass, cut a wedge from lime and rub the lime along the rim to wet the edge. Pour tajín (or sea salt) onto a plate and roll the wet edge of the glass into the tajín to coat it.
