Description

Truffle Chicken Meatball Pasta made with a truffle cream sauce, juicy chicken meatballs, tender bowtie pasta, and black truffle “thrills”.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 lb ground chicken
  • 1 large organic egg
  • 1/3 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 11/4 cup grated parmesan cheese, divided
  • 4 tbsp minced garlic, divided
  • 2/3 cup fresh basil, finely chopped and divided
  • 6.4 oz can black truffle and mushroom thrills, divided
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp ground thyme
  • 11/2 tsp sea salt, divided
  • 11/2 tsp black pepper, divided
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 21/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 12 oz farfalle pasta
  • 3 tbsp truffle oil, divided
  • 2 tsp. rubbed sage
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder


Instructions

  1.  Add the ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese, 2 tbsp minced garlic, 1/3 cup fresh basil, 2 tbsp Black Truffle and Mushroom Thrills, ground cumin, ground thyme, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, and onion powder into a large bowl. Mix well with your hands. 
  2. Form into golf ball-sized meatballs and place on a non-stick baking sheet (paid link). Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
  3. Add butter to a cooking pan at medium-low heat. Add 2 tbsp minced garlic and flour, stirring until it combines, then pour in the heavy whipping cream. Cook until it begins to bubble.
  4. Add the grated parmesan cheese, remaining Black Truffle and Mushroom Thrills, 1 tbsp truffle oil, rubbed sage, 1 tsp black pepper, garlic powder, and 1 tsp salt. Stir until combined and remove from heat.
  5. Cook the farfalle pasta as instructed, then drain and toss cooked pasta with 2 tbsp of truffle oil.
  6. Add all ingredients into the large pot with cream sauce and mix.

Notes

  • Be mindful that the chicken meatballs can get a little sticky so wet hands or gloves can help with that.
