- 1 1/2 lb ground turkey
- 1/3 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan
- 1/2 cup white onion, chopped and divided
- 1 large organic egg
- 2 tbsp dried basil, divided
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp black pepper, divided
- 1/2 tsp ground thyme
- 3/4 tsp sea salt, divided
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 1/2 cup beef broth
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water
- 1/4 cup whipping cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Add ground turkey, Italian breadcrumbs, grated parmesan, ¼ cup white onion, organic egg, 1 tbsp dried basil, smoked paprika, 1 tsp black pepper, ground thyme, and ¼ tsp sea salt into a large bowl. Mix thoroughly.
- Form the meatballs into palm-sized balls and set them to the side.
- Add olive oil to a large cast iron skillet (paid link). Heat to medium-high heat and sear meatballs for 2 minutes on each side. Remove from heat and set to the side.
- In the same cast iron skillet (paid link), add the minced garlic and ¼ cup white onion. Cook on medium heat for 4 minutes. Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, 1 tbsp dried basil, ¼ tsp sea salt, ½ tsp black pepper, and garlic powder. Stir together.
- Add meatballs back to cast iron skillet (paid link). Cover skillet and cook on medium-high heat for 10 to 12 minutes until meatballs are golden brown and cooked throughout.
- Add cornstarch and water to a small bowl and stir until combined. Carefully add the mixture into cast iron skillet (paid link).
- Add whipping cream and grated parmesan cheese into the skillet stir. Cover on simmer for an additional 3 to 5 additional minutes.
