A twist on a classic cocktail, this Blackberry Mint Julep blends bourbon, blackberry liqueur, simple syrup, fresh mint leaves, & crushed ice.

Units Scale
  • 3 oz. Bourbon
  • 1 oz. Blackberry Liqueur
  • 1 oz. Simple Syrup
  • Mint Leaves (for cocktail and garnish)
  • Crushed Ice

  1. Make your homemade simple syrup by combing 1 cup sugar and 1 cup of water stirring until dissolved.
  2. Pull 4-5 fresh mint leaves from their stem and place them into your mint julep cup. Pour 1 oz. of the simple syrup into the cup and muddle slightly using a cocktail muddler. Add 3 oz. bourbon into the cup followed by a 1/2 cup ice. Stir until the cup begins to frost then top off with a dome of ice.
  3. Pour the blackberry liqueur over the top of the ice and add your mint garnish.
