Chocolate Pecan Cream Martini

When you’re in the mood for a cocktail and dessert, this Chocolate Pecan Cream Martini is the best of both worlds. With vodka as the base, I created a perfectly sweet, but balanced, cocktail boasting chocolate, pecan, and spiced rum flavors. Perfect for the holidays and just about anytime.

I think it’s safe to say there are a lot of people who love chocolate — and maybe even a few that equally love a great cocktail. Which brings me to this recipe. Raise your hand if you think martinis are great!

Since they are traditionally made with mostly liquor the end result is quite boozy. And if boozy of your thing, you’ve come to the right place.

And since the holidays are right around the corner, and I have never shared a chocolate cocktail, I wanted to think of a few great ingredients that would blend well to create a sweeter version of a martini.

Say hello to my Chocolate Pecan Cream Martini. It all starts with vodka, then I layer on three additional liqueurs — one chocolate, one pecan, and one rum.

When it comes to blended vodka cocktails, I always advise folks to not go with expensive brands. My go to is Tito’s, but any vodka will do since you are blending it with 3 other ingredients.

The pecan liqueur adds nutty, caramel, and maple syrup notes with a hint of vanilla, cinnamon spice, and butterscotch. Think toasted pecans blended with butter and baking spice. That sounds good, right?

The rum-based cream liqueur gives the cocktail a little extra creaminess and flavor. It’s like rum mixed with cinnamon and vanilla.

And the chocolate is a no-brainer and really brings everything together. This recipe screams the holidays and is a perfect cocktail to create for any gatherings for the rest of the year.
